CIDINET (Cinema Distribution Network)

Europa Distribution’s new database for the sharing of information on films’ promotional and technical material and distribution data.
In 2009, Europa Distribution has developed CIDINET, an Internet based network dedicated to the sharing of information on promotional and technical material and on distribution data.
European distributors are CIDINET’s main target but the online database can also address the needs of sales agents and producers. The sharing of information, ideas and even costs at European level is indeed essential today for independent distributors who are facing a very competitive market.
CIDINET is closely monitored by Europa Distribution and is based on a collaborative and participative approach from its users.
CIDINET provides a multitude of web services including:
- Creation of companies’ profile (company’s details, past and upcoming line-up)
- Creation of films profile (more than 500 film profiles already online)
- For each film:
•list of the European distributors
•Release dates
•Promotional (poster, trailer, press kit...) and technical material (2K master, subtitles...) created and available in Europe
•Distribution data (number of prints, P&A, number of admissions...)
•List of rights (DVD, VOD...)
•Forum
- Search engine (films, companies)
- Focus on the main festivals selections (Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin...)
- Next releases of all the distributors registered on the database, chronologically classified
CIDINET is also moving beyond the Internet and organizes CIDINET dinners or lunches, throughout the year. In addition, Europa Distribution workshops in the Annecy Festival (June), in Paris Cinema/Paris Project (July) and in Estoril (November) always deals with case studies on upcoming movies, to complete the data provided by the database.
Membership to CIDINET costs 250 euro per year and is free for Europa Distribution members.
