 Cristian Mungiu becomes Europa Distribution new President of honor, Annemie Degryse & Jakub Duszynski take over the presidency.
Europa Distribution, which held its General Assembly during the Paris Distribution Workshop on July 5 2011, is pleased to announce that the Romanian Filmmaker Cristian Mungiu has accepted to take over the Presidency of Honor of the association.
The members also elected Annemie Degryse from Lumière in Belgium and Jakub Duszynski from Gutek Film in Poland as Europa Distribution co-presidents for the next 3 years, replacing Régine Vial (Les Films du Losange, France) and Antonio Medici (Bim Distribuzione, Italy) who headed the association for the last 5 years.
The new Board of Administration is composed of 11 independent European distributors, representative in terms of nationality, type of structure and cultural diversity:

Europa Distribution workshop in Annecy - June 7 to 9 2011
About 20 distributors participated in the Europa Distribution workshop which focused on release strategies and young audience policies for animated movies.

Cine en Construccion award - March 2011, Toulouse
The Cine en Construction award went to the film BONSAI, by Cristian Jimenez (Chili - 90 min).
A special dotation was also granted to HISTORIAS QUE SO EXISTEM QUANDO LEMBRADAS, by Julia Murat (Brasil - 98 min).
